Quote of the day
“In an age when man has forgotten his origins and is blind even to his most essential needs for survival, water along with other resources has become the victim of his indifference”
- Rachel Carson
Visit by a Group of home ed'ers spending time finding out about how water is treated to ensure it is drinkable. We looked in the Valve tower, went under the dam through a tunnel and find out the different stages of cleaning the water
The process is industrial - yes the water is clean but seeing how they clean our water makes you think. Do we value water as much now we used to before the mechnised approach?
